In 2019, the Saskatchewan Roughriders took their commitment to the communities of Saskatchewan to a new level with the creation of the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to empower the youth of our province through its three main community pillars: Education, Health and Amateur Football. In two short years, the Saskatchewan Roughrider Foundation has been able to provide support to our community partners in a larger way than ever before. As the Foundation enters in to its third year of operation, we look to continue to grow our support for Saskatchewan’s youth through our Game Changers Campaign. This Campaign is a direct response to the growing problem of the declining mental wellness in kids and teenagers in Saskatchewan. As more studies begin to show the strain the pandemic has inflicted on our youth, it is more important now than ever to ensure all our province’s youth have access to the help they need if they’re struggling. The money raised from the Game Changers Campaign will go directly to supporting the SRF’s new mental wellness project. This project will begin being implemented in schools in 2022 to ensure the youth of our province can are equipped with the support they need to become the best versions of themselves.
